The other Roman metal small finds from our site in Lexden are an iron hobnail, a copper-alloy coin (a dupondius) of Trajan which was minted in Rome in ADa bent and corroded small strip of iron, and a fragment of lead.
The hobnail, the lead and the strip all derive from the same pit as the seal-box, as does a possible spindlewhorl.
